Eight-day weekend course on Devanagari Calligraphy by Hiral Bhagat

Date : From 23 July to 14 August, 2022 (on Saturdays and Sundays)

Time : 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Age group : 16 years and above

Hiral Bhagat, an established Calligraphy Artist from Ahmedabad, works with the Indic and Latin Script. She has learned calligraphy from Masters across the globe and is dedicatedly sharing her skills with the students since last five years. She has worked with CEPT University, Ahmedabad, IIT Gandhinagar and several other nationally recognized educational institutions. Her keen interest is to look at calligraphy as an art form rather than just writing form. Her work has been showcased at various national and international exhibitions and events.

Course Description

This course can be the first step to enter into the world of calligraphy for enthusiastic beginners. It will be the beginning of fundamentals who wants to learn calligraphy to the core.

This course focuses on the following learnings:

• Devanagari script
• Various calligraphic styles
• Letter structure
• Historical perspectives
• Element and principles of design
• Letter composition and paragraph formation

The above mentioned outcomes will be achieved through series of exercises and interactive sessions.
