Sun Prints and Plant Stories: A Cyanotype Printing Workshop

Enjoy a guided tree walk at Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Institute of Indology campus, followed by a hands-on session, exploring the fascinating process of creating cyanotype prints—also known as blueprints or magic sun prints.

 

About Riddhi Satra

Riddhi is an artist, textile designer, and nature educator who works with botanical colours and their applications on textiles and crafts. She completed her textile design course at Sophia Polytechnic in Mumbai. Her sustained interest in the cultural sector led her to pursue a master’s degree in Heritage Management from the Centre for Heritage Management, AU, Ahmedabad, allowing her to explore the intrinsic connections between nature, culture, and heritage. To further deepen her understanding of these relationships, she also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Nature Conservation. This unique combination of art, culture, and environmental studies informs her current work.

Currently, Riddhi is the founder of LivingAliveMemory, an initiative focused on educating people about the foundational relationships among crafts, the environment, culture, and the economy through creative, hands-on workshops and immersive experiences across various cultural institutions and natural ecosystems. She has previously curated such experiences at the CSMVS Museum, the Nehru Science Centre, the Nest at Malabar Hill, Maharashtra Nature Park, BNHS in Mumbai, RRBCEA (Pune), and at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2026.
